There are many opportunities for an Audio Engineer to stretch his or her legs and show what they are made of. Many of these opportunities involve working with artists of all types.

I recently had the opportunity to work as a sound designer for a video game called, Intruder. Intruder is a gaming project presented to students at Full Sail University as part of portfolio building class. The goal is to allow each student to design audio for the game, matching audio assists to their appropriate visual counterparts. Once these sounds are created it is the job of each Audio Engineer, or Sound Designer, to help bring the game to life.

While working on Intruder, I tried to create a believable environment for the player. I relied on my understanding of science fiction and 3D environments to create an exciting playground that gamers of all ages would enjoy. I was able to utilize multiple plug-in programs found on Pro Tools to assist in editing the various audio recordings I used for this project. I truly enjoyed this process and I hope you enjoy my finished product. Please watch the attached videos which show the various stages of adding sound to Intruder!
